Iranian-American with gun slips through security while TSA busy nude scanning Baywatch babe.

Well, we thought we were safer with the TSA’s hands all up in our business, but apparently the joy of groping has been more of a creepy distraction for them than an increase in safety for us.  An Iranian-American businessman realized, only after he arrived at his destination and pulled his gun out of his carry-on computer bag, that he had accidentally left his gun in there through security and the flight.

Don’t worry, though.  This guy was Iranian-American.  Had it been a nun or a small child they would’ve never gotten away with it.

OK, maybe not.  This same article states that federal agencies have been testing security since 9/11 and a government audit leaked to USA Today shows that TSA screeners FAILED to detect 20 out of 22 concealed bombs and guns at Newark, 50 out of 70 at LAX, and 45 out of 75 at Chicago O’Hare.

So the question must be raised:  Is the government good at anything?
